Normaly the Roach fix up and clean up day is a day filled with a few beers, pizza and remembering of all the good times from prevoius seasons. This year was no different, other than we had a very serious project to tackle. Fully rebuild the front breaks on the roach. Over the last two seasons the breaks on the Roach have become a area of concern. So the decission was made to completely rebuild the breaks. Parts were ordered, and Saturday Augest 6th around 8:30am the word began. Several hours the decission was made that also replace the wheel bearings as they needed to come out to replace the breaks. This along with the fact that the parts we had on hand were not the correct parts started us down a path that changed two Roach Crew members lives.
But in the end, the roach is back together and ready for the start of the season.
